Wild Garlic Foraging Experience with Nicholas Balfe 🌿

After the success of the last two dates, we are excited to announce another chef-led experience here at Holm. Nicholas (chef patron) has always loved foraging and wants to share this passion of his with you.
The day will begin at Holm with a hot drink and cookie (foraging fuel) before heading out on an expedition into the woods to forage for this abundant allium. Once our bags are weighty with produce, we will make our way back to the Holm terrace, where Nicholas will work alongside you to make your own wild garlic pesto to take away. Concurrently, you will be able to see your lunch being cooked on the Country Fire grill, and once the last lid is placed on the jars of pesto, we will come together in the private dining room for a feast that celebrates this seasonal ingredient.
The ticket price includes: - An insight into how we work and what we are passionate about. - A walk on Ham Hill - a favourite foraging spot of Nicholas's and a lovely situation - to pick some wild garlic and discuss what to look out for when you go foraging on your own. - A short cookery session back at Holm, where we will prepare a number of dishes with wild garlic and make a jar of wild garlic pesto to take home. - A three-course meal cooked over the BBQ and served in the private dining room.
Please note: - The foraging venue is Ham Hill (subject to change), which is a ten-minute drive from Holm. So please arrange transport. - The terrain will be muddy and hilly, so practical footwear is essential. - Vegetarian and vegan alternatives will be available - please let us know of any dietary requirements. - Alcohol and transport are not included in the ticket price.
