Chef Filip Søndergaard joined by Chef Morten Langford for second run of hugely-popular Christmas extravaganza
For the second year running, Hong Kong is set to enjoy the festive spirit with a distinctly Danish accent thanks to another sensational eight-course traditional Danish Christmas feast from Danish chefs Filip Søndergaard and Morten Langford.
Available throughout Christmas, including Christmas Day, their menu celebrated the finest produce and traditions of the Scandinavian country which has won global fans for its brilliant and innovative restaurant culture. When paired with the uniquely Danish tradition of ‘hygge’, or warm, cosy time with loved ones, it’s set to be a December to remember.
“I’m so excited to be back in Hong Kong serving this new festive menu, a traditional Danish feast. The period of Julefrokost (Christmas lunch) is a remarkable and special time when friends and relatives meet to eat, drink, talk and celebrate in a special atmosphere of joy. Our menu celebrates classics like herring, shrimp tartare and beetroot before roast pork and duck along with sides. Come hungry!”
Here is our Danish prototype menu:
Herring with endive and skyr
Shrimp tartar, black pepper mayo
Beetroot cured salmon with egg
Crispy Christmas pork belly
Slow-cooked duck family style with classic sharing plates
Red cabbage with orange
Vesterhavsost and Blaa Kornblomst
Ris la mande with cherry sorbet
And a surprise from chef Fiilp!

Founder and owner of Test Kitchen, Vincent Mui reveals what it means to have Filip’s special menu on the way: “This is set to be a truly Merry Christmas at Test Kitchen with this delicious and decadent eight-course menu. It’s the season to seriously indulge and dishes such as slow-cooked duck, served family style, or crispy Christmas pork belly are bound to delight diners. All the accompaniments are there, along with cheeses and desserts – including a very special surprise! In the drinks pairing we’ll also be serving up Glogg, aquavit, wine and craft beers, another authentically-festive evening to remember that we can’t wait share with Hong Kong’s diners.”
