Michi No Eky -Japanese roadside rest area - is the latest offering from chef Andrea Iannicella, formerly of Dottir, Christian Glagla and Pauli Blumberg.
Their new pop-up restaurant presents Japanese-inspired cuisine using local products and European techniques, and runs from the 7th until the 9th of September in Berlin.
The trio will serve unique flavour combinations, colourful dishes and delightfully complex palates. With meticulously sourced products from Brandenburg and surrounds, the menu includes six courses served degustation-style, aiming to introduce guests to the simplicity and sophistication of Japanese cuisine...with a European twist.
The team behind Michi No Eky wanted to combine Japanese elegance with the multifaceted beauty of Berlin in order to create a slightly idiosyncratic atmosphere for the pop-up. They chose a former gas station to host the event, feeling that it spoke to the ever-evolving nature of Berlin in 2017.
