Now that summer is well underway, our outdoor bar area is complete and the plants are blooming, we are very excited to be finally launching our outdoor terrace area for a one-off event on Wednesday 10th August.
On the night, Chef Nicholas Balfe and team will be serving a feasting-style three-course menu of delicious, seasonal Somerset produce, all cooked over local applewood on our bespoke grill.
General Manager Fergus has selected some of our favourite 'bbq wines' - think juicy cabernet franc and crisp, zingy Vino Verde - to accompany the meal.
Final menu to follow but expect sharing starters such as wood-grilled crostini with Westcombe ricotta, tomatoes & salsa verde, burnt aubergine salad and burrata with bbq courgette salad, wood fired sea trout for main and grilled stone fruit pavlova to finish.
Arrive from 6.00pm for pre dinner drinks. The first bites will be served around 7pm and we aim to be wrapped up by 10pm given it's a school night!
Please note the menu will be served family-style, to share. There will be some meat and fish, but vegetarians and vegans will be catered for. Please let us know about any other dietary requirements and we'll try our best to accomodate.
