Copenhagen Jazz Festival at the National Museum of Denmark - July 2018
On Valentine's Day this year, the Niels Lan Doky International Jazz Collective presented its brand new production of Nat King Cole's timeless songs, featuring Desmond Scaife Jr. It was an unforgettable night of great music, food, drinks and love - a genuine feast for the senses. Already during the afternoon soundcheck we realized we just HAD to invite the group back for yet another romantic, sparkling and joyful evening at Copenhagen's iconic museum.
We are proud to announce that a return engagement has now been confirmed during this year's edition of the Copenhagen Jazz Festival.
Once again, the mesmerizing American vocalist Desmond Scaife Jr. will be the featured star on our journey through classic Nat King Cole songs like “Route 66”, “Unforgettable”, “Let There Be Love”, “Candy” and “For Sentimental Reasons". He will be accompanied by none less than the legendary French bassist Pierre Boussaguet who has done world tours with Diana Krall, Michel Legrand and numerous other greats - and the incredible American drummer Victor Jones, world famous for his long standing association with Stan Getz. The wonderful guitarist Johannes Wamberg completes the line-up and and as last time some surprise guests artists can be expected.
This time the show will be a regular concert, but we are planning optional pre and post concert dinner offerings at the museum's new restaurant operated by Madkastellet and we will make announcements about this soon.
Niels Lan Doky International Jazz Collective are proud to present their concerts at the NATIONAL MUSEUM OF DENMARK located at Ny Vestergade 10, 1471 Copenhagen K.
