The Rolling Stones tenor saxophist, Tim Ries, spearheads an initiative to occasionally perform intimate concerts in smaller venues right after the band's regular arena shows, with a repertoire concept he created called The Rolling Stones Project consisting of jazz renditions of classic Rolling Stones songs. In these events band members like Bernard Fowler, Darryl Jones and Lisa Fisher have often been heard with local artists invited to join in.
Following the Rolling Stones concert in Warsaw, Poland on July 8th, concerts with The Rolling Stones Project will be hosted by the Niels Lan Doky International Jazz Collective and held at the National Museum of Denmark - as part of the Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2018.
