The Female Guest Chef Series Returns
Building on the success of our female guest chef series (Rosie Birkett, Olia Hercules and Anna Jones have all treaded the boards for us), J.Sheekey Atlantic Bar, in association with Guardian Members, is delighted to announce the next chefs in the series. We have selected three fantastic female chefs, each of whom will be cooking in the Atlantic Bar kitchen alongside Head Chef Andrew McLay, bringing their unique flavours and styles to a series of ticketed dinner events. The 2017 female chef series starts in April and will continue throughout the summer.
Based on a minimum of three courses, menus will be designed in keeping with the style of J.Sheekey Atlantic Bar; serving family-style sharing plates. Tickets cost £50 per person and can be booked through the Guardian Members website.
Anna Tobias Tuesday, 25 April
Starting this year's series is Anna Tobias, named in the Observer Food Monthly's annual list of 50 trends, people, places and food to look out for in 2017. Her food is ingredient driven and simple, with a lightness of touch and respect for produce.
Rachel Roddy Tuesday, 9 May
For the second event in the series, Rachel Roddy will be bringing her own Italian influences to the J.Sheekey kitchen. Her weekly column in Guardian Cook, A Kitchen in Rome, explores traditional Italian cooking creating mouth-watering and entirely accessible dishes.
Ching He Huang Tuesday, 27 June
Third in the series is cookery author and TV chef Ching He Huang, with her characteristically dynamic approach to Chinese cooking. Born in Taiwan, raised in South Africa and the UK, Ching’s approach to cookery fuses traditional methods with modern innovation.
