La Nave de Sake is Cooking in Motions combined sake-showroom and test-kitchen located in Barcelona. 2-3 times a week Sebastian Mazzola (chef) and Sussie Villarico (sake sommelier) open La Nave de Sake to host private dinners for small groups serving a tasting menu for a maximum of 12 guests per night. The tasting menu changes every 1-1.5 months and is always served, regardless the type of cuisine, with a carefully selected sake pairing menu to showcase how well Japanese sake pair with a great variety of food not only limited to the Japanese or Asian cuisine.
Cooking in Motion imports a unique selection of sake to Spain including sake from more than 15 different sake breweries from around Japan.
All guests are seated together at a big beautiful wooden table located right in front of the open kitchen so they are able to follow and interact with Sebastian while cooking and plating the food.
La Nave de Sake is located in the Poblenou area of Barcelona, a very interesting and cool up-coming neighborhood that used to be the industrial area of the city, but is now attracting lots of creative and talented people who open studios, galleries, restaurants, bars and cafes. The exact address of La Nave de Sake remains clandestine until a reservation is confirmed.
La Nave de Sake was recently included in an article by Forbes listing the 10 coolest places to eat in 2017.
